Le Moulin de Ferrières is part of the Burdinale-Mehaigne Natural Park. |

A Natural Park is an association of rural communes, with a view to sustainable development, reconciling the environment, the economy and social issues. The Burdinale-Mehaigne Natural Park takes its name from the two rivers that cross it and extends over four communes (Braives, Burdinne, Héron and Wanze), encompassing 22 villages with a surface area of 110 km2 and a population of 28,000 inhabitants.
As the meeting point between the Hesbaye plateau and the Meuse valley, the Natural Park offers particularly varied landscapes, with bucolic reliefs, bare plateaux, woods, villages of character, wetlands and rocky outcrops, resulting in an extreme diversity of the fauna and flora present on its territory. |
From a tourist point of view, the Burdinale-Mehaigne Natural Park is part of the Terres-de-Meuse Tourist Office's territory.
The reference guide to tourism in Terres-de-Meuse, a brochure presenting the educational activities on the territory of the Maison du Tourisme and much more documents are available in hard copy at the tourist reception desk of le Moulin de Ferrières. And they are free! |
