Dating from 1745, le Moulin de Ferrières is one of the last artisanal mills still in operation in Wallonia. Milling is carried out in the traditional way on stone millstones and produces flour of very high nutritional quality.

In 2015, the community of Héron acquired the site with the aim of preserving this remarkable heritage and perpetuating its vocation while integrating it into a sustainable economic and tourist development project.
