La Fosseroule

Our mill owes its existence to the presence of la Fosseroule. This small stream has its source in the west of the commune of Héron, crosses the village of Lavoir, where part of its water is diverted by a mill race in order to feed the mill wheel. It then passes through Longpré and goes down to the Mehaigne valley, where it flows into the valley just below the feudal castle of Moha. 

La Fosseroule is managed by the Meuse Aval River Contract and its local Mehaigne committee.

Our restaurant has a pleasant terrace along the river, for all those who would like to have a bite to eat, lulled by the gentle murmur of its waters…
